The Managed tier is the Operate service pointed at your website. I'm in the loop with you each week, prioritising and approving, and what you approve arrives in the same form as it does in the Software tier.
Questions I get asked
- Will it break my site?
- It can, in the sense that any change can. That's why each change records what it replaced and can be put back, and why anything beyond the low-risk changes waits for you.
- Who's accountable?
- You approve. I'm accountable for the change doing what the proposal said, measured on the reconciled numbers.
- Do I need developers?
- Not for the edge or CMS connectors. If your site is built from code, your developers review a pull request like any other.
- What data do you hold?
- Read access to your analytics, search and ad accounts, and write access only through the connector you chose. Disconnect and it's deleted.
- What if I stop?
- Changes made through your CMS or your code stay on your site. Edge changes last as long as the connector runs unless they've been written back to the source. The history is yours to export.
