Four numbers that never match, and why.

Analytics counts visits. Your forms count submissions. The CRM counts leads. The ad platforms count conversions. Each counts a different moment on a different clock, so the totals differ, and until someone traces one against the others nobody can say which differences are breakage.

What I do

  • Trace the four against each other every day, by form, by page, by country and by campaign, and attach a reason to each difference I can explain. Some differences are built in - analytics, ads and your CRM count different things on different clocks - and the point is to know which ones those are, and which ones are breakage.
  • Fix the tracking, with your approval for each change: broken tags, missing events, consent setups that throw away half the data, forms that stopped sending their event months ago.
  • Measure server-side where I can, so ad blockers and consent choices don't leave holes in the record, while still respecting consent.
  • Capture the source on the lead itself - UTMs, referrer, landing page, click ID - so your CRM shows which channel each lead came from without anyone matching spreadsheets.
  • Monitor the whole chain, so you hear about a broken form the day it breaks and not after a month of leads has gone missing.

The first job

Usually a two-week audit. I connect to your analytics, Search Console, ad accounts, forms and CRM, reconcile the last ninety days where the records allow it, and hand you a written reconciliation: the differences the data explains, the ones still unknown, and the fixes in order. Where the history can't be matched, because the IDs were never captured, I say so and start a clean baseline from that day. You keep that whether or not we go further.

What it costs

The audit is a fixed price. Ongoing reconciliation and monitoring is a monthly fee.

Pricing

“We already have GA4 and a dashboard.”

You do, and it's probably fine. The problem usually isn't the tool. It's that nobody checks it against the forms and the CRM, so when the numbers disagree nobody knows which one to believe, and then nobody uses any of them.

What this site sees

This page is measuring you right now, the way I measure a client's site. Everything here is real, worked out in your browser, and yours to read, clear or download.

  • Reading the request your browser just made.
  • Measuring the window you are reading this in.
  • Nothing about you has been sent yet.

The long version of how I measure, with a worked example, is here: How I measure, in detail

Where this runs

I run first-party analytics, with consent handled properly, on the sites I operate myself.

  • Platform

Site Brain on my own sites

I'm building Site Brain and testing it on my own sites first: the channel sites, Fronts and growthlabs.work. The first customers will be design partners. I'll publish before-and-after numbers as they come in, and not before.

  • Platform

    First-party analytics

Shared analytics recorded on my own infrastructure, with consent handled properly, used by the sites I run.
